Dawn Chorus :. The collection of bird vocalizations that occur at the beginning of a new day is referred to as a dawn chorus. The term is a bit inadequate — birds in a dawn chorus don't actually sing together. They sing to communicate on a one to one basis. A single transmission at a time from a single source to a single client. Never in complete unison, always with a slight delay. The dawn chorus can only be compared with a human choir because it is the haphazard accumulation of individual singers rather than an actual ensemble.
